Refund policy
Limited 30-Day Warranty Policy
TER Drones issues a Limited and Conditional Warranty against incorrect shipment, material defects and/or manufacturing defects for all drone sales.
To be eligible for the warranty, you must conduct an initial inspection of your drone within 30 days of receiving it. You must download and use the TER Drones Pre-Flight Checklist for your initial inspection and your first flight, and you must log the results of your inspection on the Pre-Flight Checklist in order to claim your warranty.
If you note any material or manufacturing defects during your initial inspection, cease operation of your drone, photograph the defect, document it on your TER Drone Pre-Flight Checklist, and email all of this information to contact@TER-drones.com.
A TER drones representative will respond within a week with an initial determination. If you were shipped incorrect items, or if it appears that your drone (a) has a material or manufacturing defect, TER drones will provide a mailing address and pre-paid return postage for you to send your drone back for replacement of the incorrect item or assessment and repair of the defect;
However, if (b) our engineering team determines that your drone has been damaged, and does not display a manufacturing or material defect, you will instead have to pay postage for a return, and there will be an estimated repair cost that you must agree to before repairs can take place.
Items sent back to us without either (a) identifying incorrect shipment, (b) identifying a material or manufacturing defect and (c) requesting a return via email in coordination with a TER drones support representative will not be accepted.
If you fail to conduct an initial inspection of your drone within 30 days of receipt, the warranty is void regardless of whether your drone suffers damage or how that damage occurs.
Inspection on Receipt of Shipping
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if any items appear to be defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and find a potential solution. TER drones will exchange incorrect products. Please see the Warranty Policy, the Exchange Policy and/or the Shipping Policy for specific instructions.
Damage from Flight Operations and other Non-Returnable Items
1. Drones Damaged in Flight: Drones damaged during Flight Operations cannot be returned under the Warranty; they can only be returned for paid repairs. If a drone displays any kind of a defect during a pre-flight inspection, the drone should not be flown. Instead, the drone should be returned under the warranty or, if beyond the 30-day limited warranty period, returned for paid repairs. Failure to confirm proper drone configuration and airworthiness during a pre-flight inspection can result in a crash;
2. Batteries: Defective and/or damaged batteries cannot be returned to TER drones regardless of the cause. If you identify a defective battery on receipt of shipment, please place the battery outdoors on an inflammable surface, photograph and document the defect, find a safe lithium polymer battery disposal site, transport the battery to the site in a lipo safe bag or container, and then contact TER drones at contact@ter-drones.com.
3. Finished Commercial Products made by companies other than TER Drones: If a defective or damaged component manufactured by another company arrives in your shipment, you may need to file a warranty claim with the original manufacturer. Examples of such components include, but are not limited to: FPV goggles, radio controllers, battery chargers and remote viewing stations. These products are included in our various TER control kits.
Exchanges
Exchanges will only be considered if you determine that you have received the wrong item.
Refunds
TER Drones does not issue refunds. If you intend to order a drone or drone equipment from us, be sure that you possess the necessary skills to configure and use what you have ordered.
